Wessex Galvanize rs Ltd, Eastleigh, SO50 6NZ – part of the Wedge Group Galvanizing. 14 sites nationwide. Role of part‑time Maintenance Engineer to support plant and equipment operation at the Wessex site.

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
• Operate safe working practices within the work environment.
• Maintain regulatory compliance of equipment and facilities.
• Undertake maintenance operations at site.
• Input required information into the Engineering Management System.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and fault‑finding activities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and resolve related issues.

Candidates should have experience in an engineering role and hold electrical installation and testing qualifications; electrical maintenance qualifications will be considered. The role suits someone organised, self‑motivated, a team‑player, conscientious, with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, good communication and cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders. Experience with overhead cranes/hoists is beneficial.

• Permanent 20‑hour contract, gross pay £18,500 – £20,500 per annum.
