Salary: £39,000 to £43,000 per annum, plus benefits, further training and career opportunities
Hours:
12 hour shifts, rotation of days & nights – 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights
Location:
Commutable from Southampton, Havant, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham and surrounding areas
We are actively recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large international company at one of their premium, new and modern factories in Hampshire. You will join an established, friendly and loyal team that provides planned maintenance and responds to breakdowns within a fast‑paced production environment. Training covers both mechanical and electrical disciplines, so whether you are fully mechanical or fully electrical, we encourage you to apply if you are willing to learn and take on the required training.
The RoleWorking under the direction of the senior engineer, this multi-skilled maintenance engineer will complete allocated mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks and projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking planned maintenance
- Reacting to breakdowns
- Delivering equipment upgrades, new installations and infrastructure changes
- Providing building maintenance as required
It is a multi‑skilled environment; a bias toward either discipline is acceptable with support to develop in the other area.
Qualifications- Background in maintenance engineering or service engineering in industrial, facilities, FMCG, building services or similar production environments
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications such as NVQ or C&G Level 3 in mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled
- Good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, boilers, pumps, inverters, sensors, relays, contractors, 3‑phase motors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics or similar
- Multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical – or a passion to build on your current speciality and become multi-skilled
- Good fault‑finding skills
- Friendly, adaptable and able to work well as part of a small team
- Proactive and enjoys hands‑on work
