Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a role where you can take ideas from concept through to production and make a real impact?
SMC Group designs and manufacturers specialist masts, antennas, and RF communication equipment trusted by customers around the world.
With over 65 years of engineering expertise, we're looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to help drive innovation and support our continued growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Producing 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using Solid Works.
- Supporting and mentoring fellow engineers.
- Working closely with manufacturing, procurement, and other technical teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions.
- Driving improvements in design processes, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Supporting the migration of legacy design files into Solid Works PDM.
What We're Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacture.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
