Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per annum + benefits

We are working on behalf of a well-established organisation with a nationwide presence to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, managing a small team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of finance activities across the business.
The successful candidate will be a confident people manager with a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will have responsibility for the finance team, consisting of 5 direct reports (3 full-time, 2 part-time), and will oversee core financial operations while supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, ensuring all monthly and routine finance tasks are completed accurately and on time
Oversee monthly management accounts preparation, including reconciliations and variance analysis
Perform and review balance sheet and control account reconciliations
Monitor monthly actual costs, providing insight and commentary
Produce and maintain a suite of cost reports, trend analysis, and financial summaries
Ensure payroll is accurately checked, approved, and submitted within deadlines
Provide audit support, including preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation
Oversee stock take processes, monitoring discrepancies and accounting for adjustments
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and statutory requirements
Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries across the business
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency

About You
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
Strong people management and leadership skills
Proactive, organised, and able to manage day-to-day finance operations effectively
Solid understanding of reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Benefits
Salary of 45,000 - 50,000 per annum
Hybrid working: 2 days in the Winchester office and 3 days from home
28 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
