The Operational Assets team delivers a programme of activity including high value procurement projects which follow compliant tender processes that are fair and transparent in the spending of capital budgets. This includes carrying out effective evaluations and trials in conjunction with operational staff, and by utilising existing frameworks and collaborative procurement processes where possible. Stakeholder engagement with operational teams and the wider service is essential in contributing to the user requirements, producing specifications, and demonstrating the operational benefits realised from assets being onboarded.
The team recognise and respond to continuous improvements and learning available from HIWFRS operational experiences and lessons learnt.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Operational Assets team as an Asset Operations Project Manager
, delivering against objectives within the programme of activity, following governance standards and processes to ensure successful project delivery, measured against time, cost and quality requirements.
You should have demonstrated experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and communicating effectively across all levels of an organisation including senior management.
You will ideally have experience of supporting and managing procurement activity, in a local government setting with a clear understanding of procurement principles and processes.
You will be positive and enthusiastic about developing yourself, your team, and exploring new ways to ensure that our values and behaviours are embedded throughout HIWFRS.
Qualifications / Requirements• Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and communicating effectively across all levels of an organisation including senior management.
• Experience of supporting and managing procurement activity, in a local government setting with a clear understanding of procurement principles and processes.
• Positive and enthusiastic about personal and team development and embedding values and behaviours throughout the organisation.
