Salary: Circa £56,065 + up to 15% discretionary bonus scheme

This is a pivotal role on our product team, where innovation meets impact. You’ll work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, leveraging Python, AWS, and Maria

DB to build and evolve one of our organisation’s core products.

• Enhancing and optimising existing Python scripts to deliver better performance and scalability.
• Modernising legacy technologies in C++ & PHP into Python, breathing new life into our existing systems.
• Driving Agile delivery, contributing to regular sprints and actively participating in ceremonies that keep us aligned and moving forward.
• Mentoring and coaching fellow engineers, helping to shape a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

You’re not just a coder; you’re a problem solver and collaborator. Your deep, hands‑on Python expertise and curiosity for emerging technologies will help set you apart.

Your in‑depth and current commercial Python skills, alongside your drive to keep up to date with the latest technologies and techniques, will be key to your success.

You're a natural mentor, passionate about sharing knowledge and elevating those around you.

Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between technical detail and business needs, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.

This includes:
Python software engineering, AWS, Docker, Maria

DB, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Git Repositories and Pipelines, and Agile.

This role may involve on‑call working on a rota basis (24/7). To be successful you may be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
