SLP (PRN) at Selectis Health

Under general supervision, provides comprehensive speech therapy and language development services to a specified population of residents. Screens and evaluates residents; develops and implements therapeutic speech and language development program and services.

• Examines, tests, diagnoses, and administers treatments for residents with speech, language, hearing, and oral‑motor disorders.
• Performs evaluations with particular attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral‑motor competence, articulation, and auditory skills.
• Maintains communication with residents and others concerning progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
• Facilitates behavior management in residents and families as appropriate to the needs of the resident.
• Maintains records of work performed.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
• Current license in state of practice
• Certification, if applicable, and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization
• Organized and detailed in work performance
• Good communication skills with excellent self‑discipline and patience
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
