Certified Nursing Assistant & Certified Medication Technician – Hospice House Full Time Day Shift

Talbot Hospice is seeking a compassionate caregiver who thrives on bringing comfort and support to those in need. We’re looking for a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant who also meets Certified Medication Technician requirements. If you do not yet have a CMT, we will help you obtain it.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist patients with daily personal care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene)
  • Administer medications safely and accurately per established protocols
  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
  • Support mobility and range‑of‑motion exercises
  • Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and comfort
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment in the patient’s living space
  • Follow care plans created by the hospice team

Requirements
  • Active CNA license; must hold dual licensure as a CNA and CMT. We will assist with obtaining a CMT.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care provided.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
  • Positive references from previous employers.
  • Self‑directing with ability to work with little supervision; calm and comfortable around death/dying situations. Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home.
