PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE (PART TIME)

• Pay: $16.50 – $21.50 per hour.

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, helping patients select menus, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays. They ensure patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate meals at the correct time and temperature.

• Help patients understand menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals promptly and accurately. Retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning workstations, and breaking down the patient tray line.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot ingest food orally or have specific diet requirements.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all required reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 100 pounds and maneuvering food delivery carts.
