We’re seeking a hands‑on Human Resources Manager who is passionate about building strong teams, driving employee engagement, and ensuring our HR programs support the continued growth and success of Team MATE.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager will lead all aspects of HR across the organization, managing a small team and ensuring programs—from performance management and training to compliance and benefits—are executed efficiently and with a focus on a positive Team Member experience. This role requires a strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and partner directly with managers and Team Members at all levels.

Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $95k–$110k, based on experience
  • Work Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday. In‑office days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at our Easton, MD corporate office, with additional days as needed. A company laptop is provided for work outside the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR Department: Oversee daily operations, mentor the HR team, and maintain a positive Team MATE experience.
  • Performance Management: Administer goal setting, reviews, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Training & Development: Design and run company‑wide training programs and track results.
  • Benefits & Insurance: Manage benefits, leave programs, 401(k), and partner with third‑party administrators.
  • Employee Relations: Support managers with mediation, conflict resolution, quarterly branch visits, and terminations when needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure federal, state, and local HR reporting and requirements are met.
  • Onboarding & Engagement: Collaborate with Recruiting on orientation and lead employee engagement initiatives.

    Risk Management:

    Oversee the Safety Committee, audits, training, and incident trend analysis.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report key HR metrics and KPIs to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Reside within a one‑hour driving radius of Easton, Maryland to support the position.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
  • Experience developing, improving, and implementing HR processes and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to respond promptly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to branch locations across the Mid‑Atlantic region.
  • Experience in a multi‑location or field‑based environment is a plus.
