Telemetry RN Job Details

• Assignment Type:
  Locum tenens (Travel RN Contract)

• Unit:
  Telemetry (Cardiac Monitoring)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1790-$1920
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks (potential to extend)
• Start Date:
  
  August 25, 2025
• End Date:
  February 23, 2026
• Weekend Requirement:
  Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement:
  As scheduled; one major holiday off may be requested
• Floating:
  Required within telemetry and to lower acuity units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a U.S. hospital
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI (AHA required for BLS/ACLS)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Two professional references required (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Easton, MD facility
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients with cardiac dysrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), congestive heart failure (CHF), respiratory failure, pneumonia, and stroke
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration required)
• Perform and manage central line care, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and radiology
• Float to lower acuity units or sister facilities as needed
• Accurately document patient care using Epic (preferred)
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekends and holidays
