General Service Worker
The General Service Worker supports store operations and business departments by performing preventive and general maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime in a safe, cost‑effective manner. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated and can adapt to a dynamic workplace, working independently or as part of a larger team when needed.
Essential Job Functions- Performs general and preventive maintenance on building and convenience‑store equipment at assigned stores, including light carpentry, minor electrical repairs, floor and restroom repairs, pothole patching, signage hanging, door repairs, locks, etc.
- Conducts pressure washing, painting, and related work on all store assets to maintain a high image standard.
- Completes special projects requested by management.
- Participates in field visits and meetings as requested by management.
- Communicates promptly and effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Follows company and department policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the area.
- May be required to travel overnight occasionally for special projects or initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Strong working knowledge of general construction and building maintenance.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
- Team player with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to operate a smartphone, respond to emails, and share photos.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and convenience‑store equipment (certification not required) is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience repairing restaurant equipment is preferred.
- Operate a truck or similar vehicle.
- Lift heavy objects or equipment.
- Operate various tools and construction equipment.
- Travel long distances for extended periods, including overnight stays.
- Communicate verbally or in writing with associates, vendors, and customers.
- Work under stressful situations.
