New Opportunity – Field Service Engineer

Our client in Eastwood is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their Aftermarket service team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering on-site installations, maintenance, and repair services for bespoke heavy plant equipment.
Candidates with field service experience on heavy plant equipment, power stations, gas compression equipment, bespoke conveyor equipment or mining equipment would be ideal for this role. This position requires frequent travel across the UK and occasional offshore assignments.
  
As the new Field Service Engineer, you will:
 
Perform site-based inspections, maintenance, and upgrades on bespoke heavy plant equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and automation issues efficiently.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and service reports.
Liaise with customers to ensure service excellence and technical support.
Always maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements for this role:
 
Proven experience in field service within industrial or engineering environments (Power Generation/Oil & Gas/mining preferred).
ONC / Level 3 or higher qualification in Mechanical or qualify by experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel and undertake offshore training when required.
Full UK driving licence.

About this role:

This role is a field-based position covering UK and offshore locations.
For 90% of your role, you will be deployed. For the remaining 10% of the role, you will be based in their Eastwood workshop, so being able to commute is essential when you aren’t deployed.
