About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, located near Bristol. The prison has a 400‑capacity female facility.
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse you will work with a multidisciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
HoursThe site currently offers a 24‑hour service with shift patterns:
- Days – 07:00 to 19:30
- Nights – 19:00 to 07:30
- Week 1‑3 – 3 days
- Week 4 – 4 days (including 1 night shift)
- Expectation to work 1 weekend in 3.
This position is full time, however part‑time hours can be considered. You’ll receive an annual salary between £43,609 – £49,172 per annum (FTE) – depending on experience.

- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening

Requirements- Registered nurse – Adult
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivated as an individual and when working in a team
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
