You will be joining an already established and talented team, which is currently 150 strong and comprised of Apprentice Engineers through to Solution Architects. You will be involved in a variety of projects within the Software Engineering team such as regular stand ups, fixing bugs, project, and design, and supporting junior members of the team. Additionally, you will also be part of sprint reviews and demos, product release cycles and reports, to name a few of your responsibilities.

What we're looking for:

A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with a strong understanding of core software engineering principles. Proven commercial experience working as a Software Engineer within an Agile environment. Strong development experience using C# and .NET technologies. Experience developing, deploying and supporting applications within AWS cloud environments. Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM and Cloud Watch.

Understanding of cloud-native architectures, scalability, security and resilience principles within AWS. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation would be advantageous. Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, including polymorphism, inheritance and SOLID principles. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases. Understanding of modern software architecture, including Microservices.

Experience with unit testing and a commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code. Knowledge of design patterns and software optimisation techniques. A good understanding of different testing approaches and software quality practices. Experience participating in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and collaborative development practices. The ability to coach, mentor and support less experienced engineers. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
