Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Dayton area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Salary range $90,000-$110,000. Plus Bonus
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes and systems to ensure optimal production quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, manufacturing systems, lean principles, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Evaluate and analyze production processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure smooth product launches and continuous improvement.
- Support equipment selection, installation, and validation.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production metrics and analyze data to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 25+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, electronics, consumer goods, etc.).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, process control, and quality systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP, MES).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with automation and robotics.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).
