** As a Team Lead in Silfex’s Quality Inspection department, you’ll be a trusted expert and point of contact for both your team and leadership. In this advanced role, you’ll guide inspection priorities, troubleshoot quality issues, and ensure our products meet the highest standards through detailed testing and analysis. You’ll support cross-shift communication, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to key initiatives that shape our quality system.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Serve as the go-to contact for the final inspection team in the absence of the Quality Supervisor.
* Perform detailed inspections on parts, ensuring they meet all required specifications.
* Prepare products for shipment, ensuring quality and accuracy.
* Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to guide inspection procedures.
* Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day quality issue troubleshooting and mistake-proofing initiatives within the department.
* In the absence of the Quality Supervisor prepares and implements inspection priorities, ensuring communication with all four shifts.
* Perform Internal QA Audits monthly.
* Maintain and update operational data at regular intervals.
* Ensure inspection data is accurately recorded for select parts (Global Supplier Quality Assurance) and resolve issues that may impact data integrity or part release.
* Perform Daily Lighting Checks.
* Must be knowledgeable in removing parts from hold and rejection control procedure.
* Responsible for data collection for intradepartmental test plans, works with Engineering personnel on special projects.
* Assists in writing and updating Operating Procedures as needed.
* Attend Train the Trainer Classes and assist in the training of Department Personnel.
* Works in conjunction with the Department Supervisor/Manager on process/cost improvement ideas and implementation.
* Provides feedback to Quality Supervisor on employee performance.
* Performs all work-related tasks in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to Silfex management.
* Application of Lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S.
* Commit to ongoing development and competence of job functions.
