Quality Improvement Cdnr/RN Work as a member of the Performance Improvement Committee to implement the quality improvement program at PGH; facilitate hospital-wide quality improvement-based activities; identify opportunities for improvement, seek solutions, and establish monitoring and evaluating strategies. Update and maintain PGH Emergency Operations Plan; conduct drills, monitor supplies, and ensure staff training regarding emergency preparedness; ensure hospital compliance with TJC (The Joint Commission) Emergency Management Standards.

• Maintain current, accurate records
• Identify performance initiatives
  • Compile, interpret, and summarize statistical performance data for distribution to PGH staff, physicians, administration, and governing board.
  • Monitor TJC and CMS standards compliance ongoing to maintain constant state of survey readiness
• Design performance initiatives
  • Ensure quality improvement activities are directed by analysis of data with a focus on process improvement
  • Ensure the PI program supports multidisciplinary team initiatives.
• Coordinate performance initiatives
  • Coordinates implementation of TJC core/noncore measures, CMS public reporting, including but not limited to data collection, analysis, and communication of findings to appropriate departments and education of staff.

• B.S. degree in healthcare related field; BSN preferred
• Current RN license

• Three years’ experience in acute care facility preferred
• Prior training, certification, and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: emergency planning and management, emergency department, emergency medical services and/or fire services, risk management, hazardous materials management.
