The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development and support of the Team Health Surveillance Team (THST) systems while facilitating efficient operations to meet the current and future business needs.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning:
Assess and assist in the development of product lines and services to satisfy the occupational health and safety needs for employers in a defined geographic area. Conduct formal and informal meetings to achieve occupational health strategic business goals. Monitor needs, responses to services offered and develop action plans to resolve obstacles. - Customer Support:
Discover and meet the network needs. Oversee clinical support team in providing quality services to meet or exceed all service needs. - Business Development:
Identify areas of under utilization in service area by monitoring volume and take corrective action to improve utilization as needed. Schedule programs and staff coverage to meet the needs of the network. - Problem Resolution:
Use contacts to solve day‑to‑day business problems for customers. Seek advice from the network on difficult or uncommon problems; develop and maintain a network of contacts inside the organization. - Regulatory Compliance:
Manage compliance excellence strategies and work with site leadership to manage standard operating procedures for all aspects of THST services, focusing on OSHA, NJDOHSS, CDC, and TJC compliance. - People Management:
Manage and/or assist in recruitment, development and supervision of team members. Create and sustain an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establish clear objectives tied to department and strategic goals. - Financial Management:
Develop and/or manage the budget for assigned areas. Monitor key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying activities as needed in response to changing financial situations. - Data Management and Analytics:
Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics. Serve as superuser for PureOHS and Channel‑19. Recommend and implement process improvements. - Other Duties as Assigned:
Complete all other assigned duties and projects in a timely fashion. - Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Physical requirement:
Lift a minimum of 35 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 35 lbs. and stand a minimum of 3 hours a day.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 5+ Years occupational health experience.
- Leadership attributes in a Team Health setting.
- Prior business development/management experience.
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- MSN or MPH or MPA or equivalent.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association.
- COHN‑S or CEN.
Minimum rate of $ annually.
