Seasonal Retail Cashier, Stock & Fulfillment – Crossroads at Eatontown Rack

Overview

The ideal Nordstrom Rack team member enjoys a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You’ll make the customer experience quick, easy and fun while helping customers uncover great deals. • Sales and Cashier:
  Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and guiding them to fitting rooms, then sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as our Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Work with the team to keep the sales floor “runway ready” through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
• Defuse customer situations and provide resolutions in a timely and effective manner.

• Stock Support and Fulfillment:
  Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms; provide general store support (set up events, organize backroom, markdowns, relocate fixtures).

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (Stock Support or Fulfillment role).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
