Economic Support Specialist

• Determine eligibility and provide ongoing case management for public assistance programs
• Conduct investigative interviews to gather and evaluate financial and non-financial information
• Maintain high levels of customer service, answering calls and providing case status updates
• Authorize monetary benefits and payments for various assistance programs
• Identify risk factors and report to appropriate services while ensuring compliance with regulations

• Associate degree in human services, public/business administration, economics, accounting, paralegal, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer service role requiring direct public contact
• Minimum of two (2) years of personal computer experience, including Microsoft Office software
• Keyboarding skills of 45 words per minute
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile insurance

• Previous call center experience
• Experience with benefit programs and determining eligibility is preferred
