The Lake Area Free Clinic-Dental Clinic (LAFC-DC) is seeking a dental assistant with a passion for patient care driven by a desire to serve in a public health capacity. As a non-profit reduced-fee dental clinic, the opportunity exists to make a positive difference in the health and lives of individuals by providing basic dentistry to vulnerable adults and children of Waukesha County.

• Embrace LAFC mission and culture
• Positively represent LAFC in the community
• As chairside assistant to dentist, assist with performing assessments and treatment
• Take diagnostic digital x-rays
• Provide post-operative instructions following procedures
• Follow LAFC's infection control, exposure control, and safety policies
• Process and sterilize instruments
• Counsel patients on the benefits of oral health
• Maintain, stock and organize supplies and equipment according to manufacturers' and suppliers' recommendations
• Participate in training, staff meetings and special events
• Support clinic volunteers and staff
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to reception, scheduling, and patient registration

• MUST be Bilingual (Spanish)
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Willing to train the right candidate
