The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a fellowship-trained Medical Retina Specialist to join our established retinal practice, which includes two full-time retinal surgeons. This position is based at our Eau Claire practice, part of the Mayo Clinic Health System, and collaborates closely with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
The successful applicant will be a skilled clinician, board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology with fellowship training in vitreoretinal disease. Primary responsibilities include providing outpatient medical retinal services, with the option to perform general ophthalmology care, including cataract evaluations and surgery, if desired. The role includes participation in general ophthalmology call coverage (currently 1 in 6 weeks) and limited inpatient care for general ophthalmology patients.
Opportunities for teaching, academic involvement, and research are available. Currently, NWWI Family Medicine residents and Emergency Room NP/PA students shadow our physicians. The position also qualifies for an academic rank through Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
