Job Title

Civil / Structural Designer / Drafter (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior, Lead)

We are seeking Civil / Structural Designers and Drafters at multiple experience levels to join our growing engineering team. These roles support a wide range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects and involve preparing accurate 2D and 3D design drawings, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring constructible, code‑compliant deliverables. Level of responsibility, technical complexity, and leadership will be aligned with experience.

• Develop and prepare civil and structural drawings, models, and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Produce accurate plans, sections, details, and schedules in accordance with project specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines
• Apply industry standards, codes, and safety requirements to all designs
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate redline comments
• Support project documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle

• Perform advanced drafting and detailing for steel, concrete, and site layouts
• Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and quality control
• Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design conflicts
• Assist with field verification and site visits as required
• Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting project deadlines

• Lead large or complex drafting and design assignments from concept through final design
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and drafters
• Interface directly with engineers and project management on design strategy and execution
• Review and check drawings produced by others for quality and compliance
• Support schedule planning and workload coordination

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

• Junior: 0–3 years of civil/structural drafting experience
• Mid-Level: 4–8 years of experience
• Senior: 8–15+ years of experience
• Lead: 12–15+ years with demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Working knowledge of Revit (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Advance Steel or steel detailing tools (plus)
• Structural steel and concrete detailing
• Site layout and grading plans
• Industrial and commercial construction standards
• 2D and 3D modeling experience

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
• Adaptable to changing priorities, schedules, and project demands
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

• Primarily office‑based with occasional site visits
• Hybrid work options may be available depending on role and experience
• Overtime may be required during peak project phases
