We’re hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee and Eau Claire, WI offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall and box culvert design. This role plays a key part across JT’s municipal, transportation, and site development groups.

Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and track a business plan for service line
- Coordinate long‑term strategic pursuits
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Determine staffing needs and recruit and retain staff in service line
- Work with executive team to coordinate service line plan with overall company goals
- Work with internal staff to ensure projects meet established deadlines, specifications, budgets, and client expectations
- Succession planning for all service line staff/positions
- Manage, mentor, and assist staff with individual development
- Responsible for developing and managing overall service line budget, including
- Oversight/tracking of all project budgets and profitability
- Company/service line overhead (including coordination across service lines)
- Review and approval of contracts and proposals
- Identify capital purchases and software needs
- Coordination and approval of staff training
- Marketing and business development
- Tracking and forecasting service line backlog
- Oversight/tracking of all service line project schedules
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with 10+ years of experience in structural engineering
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one
- Experience managing structural engineering design projects
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and permitting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and time‑management skills
- Self‑disciplined and motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to worksites, client meetings and conferences
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without time limitations, restrictions or need for sponsorship
- Occasional out‑of‑town travel and overnight stays for professional development and/or project‑related work
