We’re hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee and Eau Claire, WI offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall and box culvert design. This role plays a key part across JT’s municipal, transportation, and site development groups.

• Develop, implement, and track a business plan for service line
• Coordinate long‑term strategic pursuits
• Communicate directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
• Determine staffing needs and recruit and retain staff in service line
• Work with executive team to coordinate service line plan with overall company goals
• Work with internal staff to ensure projects meet established deadlines, specifications, budgets, and client expectations
• Succession planning for all service line staff/positions
• Manage, mentor, and assist staff with individual development
• Responsible for developing and managing overall service line budget, including
• Oversight/tracking of all project budgets and profitability
• Company/service line overhead (including coordination across service lines)
• Review and approval of contracts and proposals
• Identify capital purchases and software needs
• Coordination and approval of staff training
• Marketing and business development
• Tracking and forecasting service line backlog
• Oversight/tracking of all service line project schedules

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with 10+ years of experience in structural engineering
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain one
• Experience managing structural engineering design projects
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and permitting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational and time‑management skills
• Self‑disciplined and motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to worksites, client meetings and conferences
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without time limitations, restrictions or need for sponsorship
• Occasional out‑of‑town travel and overnight stays for professional development and/or project‑related work
