Finance & Administration Manager

Join the Eau Claire Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (Visit Eau Claire) leadership team as the Finance & Administration Manager. This role manages financial operations, administrative business functions, and human resource administration, ensuring organizational efficiency and compliance.

Essential Functions
  • Finance
    • Manage accounting and payroll processes for Visit Eau Claire and Sculptures Eau Claire.
    • Develop and maintain accurate financial reporting systems.
    • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets ($2–$3M) and forecasts.
    • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close and reporting.
    • Coordinate annual audit and tax filings with CPA firm.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax requirements.
  • Business Administration
    • Manage operational functions including contracts, insurance, and office phone and systems.
    • Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors and committees; prepare agendas and materials.
    • Prepare organizational policies and directives.
    • Research and implement best practices for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Human Resource Administration
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain HR records.
    • Facilitate performance management and employee relations.
    • Administer compensation and benefits programs (health, 401k).
    • Coordinate with third-party providers for benefits and retirement plans.
    • Maintain grant software program and records.
    • Facilitate Grant Committee activities and manage application cycles.
Education and Experience
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years in financial management with exposure to HR and administrative functions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books, Google Suite, and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Position Type and Hours

Full-time. Typical hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, using hands and fingers to operate the computer, listening and speaking on phone, and looking at details of both text and color pictures on a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to travel by car and plane.
