Job Title: Power Distribution Designer (Entry Level)
Location: Eau Claire, WI (Hybrid)
Duration: 6‑Month contract with potential extensions
Pay Rate: $28‑$30/hr (W2)
Field Travel: 30%
Seeking a Designer to support electric distribution projects for new and existing customers. The role involves system design, field assessments, and coordination with internal teams using GIS‑based tools.
Key Responsibilities- Design electric distribution systems (transformers, underground cabling, pole placement).
- Create and revise 2D/3D drawings and design documentation.
- Prepare bills of material, schedules, and drawing transmittals.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Use GIS or AutoCAD for design tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
- Entry‑level experience or equivalent coursework in electrical or related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail‑oriented and able to meet project deadlines.
