Don't want to spend your summer stuck in an office? Join us in the outdoors! Our Community Services & Engineering Departments are hiring Seasonal Laborers for the 2026 Summer Season.
Requirements- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Be at least 18 years old
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)
- Receive 24 hours floating holiday and 24 hours sick time upon hire*
- Potential to earn Holiday Pay
- Work outside while serving your community
- Learn a variety of different equipment/skills on the job
- Work in a great team atmosphere
* Six month seasonals. Three month seasonals receive up to 12 hours each.

Wage Rate: $19.35 per hour (may be eligible for a possible wage increase, if re-hired for a second or third season)
Cemeteries Division: Maintenance and operation of mowers and trimmers, may assist with grave digging operations. Term of positions: 3- and 6-month positions available starting no earlier than April 1 and ending no later than October 31. Typical work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Engineering Division (Survey): Work as a survey field crew member employing such tools as chains to measure distance, plumb bobs, range poles, level rods and magnetic locators. Duties include, but not limited to: driving wooden stakes for grade, running line and grade on survey projects, operating an electronic total station survey instrument and driving the survey vehicle, along with other manual labor as required.
Term of positions:
Tentatively late April to mid-December. Typical work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as required.
Parks Division: Operate mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers, garbage clean-up, and custodial duties in park facilities, painting, and some heavy labor. Term of positions: 3- and 6-month positions available starting no earlier than April 1 and ending no later than October 31. Typical work hours:
Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Streets Division: Patch streets, mow grass, clean catch basins, cut brush, load and unload materials, trim trees and hedges. Term of positions: 3- and 6-month positions available starting no earlier than April 1 and ending no later than October 31. Typical work schedule:
Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. OR Tuesday through Friday 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Utilities Division: Work with a team to inspect and flush sanitary sewers, storm sewers and manholes, paint fire hydrants, and locate structures for construction. Term of positions:
June to August. Typical work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
