Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician

A day in this role

At our Eau Claire, WI 54703 facility, you’ll be the guardian of product integrity. Your day starts by checking incoming materials against specifications, moves into verifying in‑process components on the floor, and ends with confirming finished goods meet customer and internal standards. You’ll switch seamlessly between calipers, micrometers, a CMM, and quality control software—capturing data, analyzing trends, and partnering with production to resolve issues using root cause tools like 5 Why.

You’ll also help tune up our quality system by assisting with audits, shaping procedures, and coaching teammates on quality best practices.

• Inspect incoming, in‑process, and final product for conformity to drawings and specifications.
• Record, analyze, and report nonconformances; collaborate with production to drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct routine dimensional checks and functional tests using appropriate gauges and equipment.
• Contribute to creating and improving quality procedures, work instructions, and standards.
• Maintain thorough inspection records, test results, and key quality metrics.
• Support internal audits and assist during customer or third‑party audits.
• Provide hands‑on training to production staff on inspection techniques and quality expectations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience as a Quality Technician (or similar) within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of quality standards, methods, and inspection practices.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) and reading blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem‑solving ability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
