Sen Teacher

Primary School Teacher - SEN School in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This role offers flexible hours, including full-time or part-time positions, Monday to Friday, within an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 within a SEN setting.

* Support the social, emotional, and educational development of learners with diverse needs.

* Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, and other staff to ensure effective support for all students.

* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.

* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Proven experience working with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, preferably within SEN settings.

* Strong understanding of SEN needs and inclusive teaching practices.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours.

Candidates with experience in SEN teaching, knowledge of safeguarding policies, and NVQ qualifications in child education will be highly regarded. The position is ideally suited for educators committed to making a positive impact on children’s learning and development in an inclusive setting.
