Teaching Assistant Wanted for Abertillery

Education Supply Pool is a PAYE Employer recruiting Teaching Assistants to support day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term positions on behalf of schools based in Abertillery and surrounding areas.

Full‑time role:
Applicants must hold a minimum NVQ Level 2, CACHE Level 2, BTEC, BA (Hons) Education or equivalent experience, and have at least 3 months experience working inside a primary or secondary classroom.

Owning a valid UK Driver’s Licence and having access to a vehicle will widen job opportunities.

Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting and motivating children in Wales.

Successful candidates will attend an interview and  at our Newport city centre office.

• Assist with preparing lessons across the curriculum, considering varied student ability levels.
• Follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.
• Provide simulated activities while ensuring hygiene and safety rules.
• Maintain a supportive, clean classroom environment.
• Be attentive to each student’s unique needs and identify suitable solutions when children encounter issues.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and families when needed.

• Minimum pay rate of at least £93.
• Team with over twenty years of experience across local and national agencies.
• Dedicated account manager with a teaching background.

All candidates will undergo a vetting process that includes two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
