Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) – Ebbw Vale

Are you passionate about supporting children’s education and development? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant specialising in SEN to join a supportive team in a primary school in Ebbw Vale. This full-time role offers a chance to make a positive impact on young learners, particularly those requiring additional SEN support.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant in Ebbw Vale, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support for pupils with special educational needs, helping them develop socially and academically. Your duties will include assisting in planning and implementing learning activities, supporting students with SEN, and promoting independence and confidence within the classroom.

You will also contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment and undertake personal care responsibilities when needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, preferably within primary or SEN settings. Strong communication and team working skills are essential, along with competence in personal care. A caring, patient, and proactive attitude is vital to succeed in this role. Candidates must have or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and should be flexible to work full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

* Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
