Additional Learning Needs Teacher - Torfaen from September 2026

Academics Recruitment Agency is working in partnership with a respected primary school in Torfaen, who are looking for an Additional Learning Needs Teacher to join its team from September 2026. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and is looking for someone who can provide pupils with the structure, encouragement and personalised support they need to make progress.

You'll work with pupils across the primary age range, delivering targeted teaching and adapting activities to suit different learning needs. You'll also work closely with class teachers and other members of the school team to ensure pupils receive consistent support throughout the day.

This is a particularly good opportunity for a teacher who enjoys smaller-group teaching and takes pride in finding practical ways to help children overcome barriers.

You'll need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with pupils with ALN/SEND in a primary setting.
• A good understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
• The ability to remain calm and consistent when supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
• Two recent professional references.
