Engineering Lecturer

Location: Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent

Salary: £33,596 - £51,930

Contract: Permanent

Employer: Coleg Gwent - High Value Engineering (HiVE) Centre

Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Engineering team at the newly opened cutting edge engineering facility HIVE (High Value Engineering) in Ebbw Vale. You will deliver high quality tuition and assessment in Engineering and related subjects including BTEC Level 3 and HE curriculum.

The post would suit teachers or engineers from a range of backgrounds. You will ideally have experience at teaching up to at least BTEC level 3 on Engineering courses.

Subject specialisms desirable in at least one from:

  • CAD/CAM manufacturing
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Motorsport Engineering
  • Advanced Manufacturing processes and materials
  • CNC machining

The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.

  • Safeguarding:
    Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration (costs covered by the candidate).
  • Qualifications:

    Lecturers must hold or be willing to achieve a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) within a set period.
