We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Engineering Team Leader to join our dedicated and professional Engineering team in Ebbw Vale.

Working Hours4 on, 4 off: 2 x Days 6am-6pm, 2 Days Nights 6pm‑6am

Your Duties Will Include- Coordinate and delegate maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work.
- Act as the responsible on‑site engineering contact outside normal working hours.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
- Complete and maintain accurate service reports and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain system data to support inventory management, purchasing control, and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, promoting safe working practices at all times.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting expertise, and innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to optimise plant performance, utilities, and operational reliability.
- Follow established engineering standards, including asset management, contractor control, and safe systems of work.
- Promote and support a strong safety culture in partnership with site Health & Safety teams.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
- Demonstrate your multi‑skilled engineering expertise through time served experience and/or qualifications.
- A time served engineer with BTEC Level 3 qualification is essential in mechanical or electrical engineering (as specified within the job advert).
- HNC or HND qualification in an Engineering discipline – desirable.
- Good knowledge of technical Health & Safety requirements.
- Previous experience within a similar role and within a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Excellent trouble‑shooter with the ability to resolve problems effectively, and within a cost‑effective manner / within budget.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrable record of influencing at all levels within an organisation.
- Confident decision maker who understands the commercial implications of decisions.
- Effective team player.
- Proven track record of delivering performance improvements.
- Fully computer literate and proficient.
