As a Surveyor
, you'll play a key role in delivering The Great Grid Upgrade
, a once-in-a-generation programme of investment that will reshape the electricity network across England and Wales. Working on some of the UK's most important energy infrastructure projects, you'll help connect more homes and businesses to secure, affordable and cleaner energy.

Aligned to projects across the East of England and Wales
, you'll work closely with landowners, communities and multi-disciplinary teams to enable the delivery of critical infrastructure. • Take the lead on securing the land rights needed to deliver some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
• Negotiate high-value and complex agreements with landowners and stakeholders, balancing commercial, legal and community considerations.
• Act as a trusted expert on DCO, CPO and compensation matters, influencing key project decisions.
• Build strong relationships with landowners, communities and project teams to enable successful delivery.
• Work closely with external land agents and consultants, ensuring projects progress efficiently and effectively.
• Share your expertise and support the development of junior surveyors within a collaborative national team.

You'll likely be a Surveyor with experience in land acquisition, land rights or infrastructure delivery, gained within consultancy, utilities, infrastructure or major development projects.

You'll also bring

• Experience securing land rights, negotiating agreements and resolving compensation matters.
• Knowledge of DCO, CPO and statutory processes associated with major linear infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and professional judgement.
• The ability to operate confidently in complex project environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• A track record of building trusted relationships and influencing decisions.
• A willingness to travel for site visits, stakeholder engagement and project collaboration.

• A competitive salary between £48,000 - £61,000 – dependent on capability.
• Market supplement of £3,000 per annum.
