Head of Management Accounting

Your new company
Your new company is a nationally recognised public sector organisation. They are seeking an experienced Head of Management Accounts to provide stability and leadership within their finance team during a 12-month fixed-term period. This role is based in Newport, with two days per week office attendance.
Your new role
You will lead the management accounts function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting senior stakeholders through effective Finance Business Partnering. The role involves reviewing priorities with the senior management team to meet current and future organisational needs. You will be responsible for delivering improved performance and maintaining compliance with UK accounting standards.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA or ICAEW) with significant experience in management accounting and finance business partnering. A strong understanding of UK accounting standards is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior colleagues. Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key.
