The Compleat Food Group is looking for an ambitious and motivated HR Advisor to join our team at Ebbw Vale.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or People Administrator who is ready to take the next step into their first HR Advisor position. Equally, we'd love to hear from existing HR Advisors looking for a new challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll work closely with the Site HR Business Partner, playing a key role in recruitment, employee relations, engagement initiatives and supporting managers across the employee lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing Recruitment & Talent- Lead recruitment activity for hourly paid and factory-based roles.
- Advertise vacancies, screen applications and coordinate interviews.
- Work closely with hiring managers to ensure vacancies are filled efficiently.
- Support workforce planning and site manning requirements.
- Promote opportunities through local social media and recruitment channels.
- Support early careers initiatives, apprentices and graduates.
- Support managers with employee relations matters including investigations, absence management, probation reviews and disciplinary processes.
- Take notes during formal meetings and consultations where required.
- Produce letters and documentation relating to employee relations activity.
- Ensure employees receive a positive and professional HR service.
- Spend time on the factory floor building relationships with colleagues and managers.
- Conduct welfare interviews and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate charity, community and site engagement activities.
- Keep notice boards, TV screens and communications up to date.
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain HR systems, trackers and reports.
- Complete Right to Work checks accurately.
- Support audits, agency compliance checks and worker interviews.
- Escalate complex matters to the HRBP when appropriate.
- Assist with HR projects both locally and across the wider group.
- Support and coach managers on key people processes.
- Assist with the delivery of leadership and development programmes.
- Gain exposure to wider HR activities, helping develop your HR career.
- Experience working within an HR, People or Recruitment role.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships at all levels.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing, logistics, retail or another fast-paced environment.
- Experience recruiting blue-collar or hourly paid employees.
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or currently studying).
- Exposure to employee relations processes.
- Fantastic opportunity to progress from HR Assistant to HR Advisor level.
