Property Paralegal

Newport (office-based)

Access to a car strongly preferred due to office location

TSR Legal are working in partnership with a well-established Legal 500 law firm in Newport who are seeking to appoint a Property Paralegal to join their busy and reputable Property team.

The firm will consider candidates with experience in either Residential or Commercial Property, or those with exposure to both areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and growing team within a respected regional practice.

The Role

You will support Fee Earners within the Property department, assisting with a broad range of residential and/or commercial property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Fee Earners with all aspects of property transactions
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Carrying out legal research
  • Preparing contract packs and completion statements
  • Conducting searches and reviewing title documentation
  • Attending client meetings where appropriate
  • Managing client communications via email, telephone and Microsoft Teams
  • Opening and closing files, e-filing and maintaining case management systems
  • Collating and organising documentation
  • Monitoring emails and post and relaying information to Fee Earners
  • Providing file support during Fee Earner absence
  • Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations and firm procedures
  • Supporting marketing and networking initiatives where required
  • Assisting other departments or reception when necessary

Candidate Requirements

  • Law degree (LLB) or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience within Residential and/or Commercial Property preferred
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with case management systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and willing to learn
  • Basic understanding of accounts processes desirable
  • Access to a car is strongly preferred due to the office location
