Construction Project Manager needed in Ebbw Vale Paying £150.15 per hr

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage asbestos across building stock to ensure compliance and minimise risk to staff, occupants, and the public.
  • Ensure compliance with current asbestos legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, and CDM Regulations.
  • Carry out site visits to monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee statutory testing and surveys, ensuring they are undertaken at required intervals.
  • Manage and deliver works arising from statutory survey reports.
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to ensure compliance with tenancy and contractual obligations, reporting breaches where necessary.
  • Lead on implementing health and safety responsibilities within the division.
  • Act as Project Manager for construction and maintenance projects of varying complexity.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including officers, senior management, building occupants, and the public regarding safety, defects, and compliance.
  • Manage minor works projects and support broader Building Surveying and Health & Safety functions.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies (including HSE) on asbestos-related matters.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with clients, external agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Maintain Continual Professional Development (CPD) to stay current with legislation and industry best practice.
  • Support staff development, providing guidance and motivation where required.
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental and corporate plans and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Welfare policies and promote equality and anti-discriminatory practices.
  • Support Building Services Engineers with tasks such as CAD and specification preparation.
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role.
