SEN Teaching Assistant Ebbw Vale

Pay Rate: £88.92 - £101.92 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs? Vision for Education are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive 3 19 special needs school in Ebbw Vale.

About the Role

You’ll be working closely with teachers and support staff to assist pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning challenges. Your role will be vital in helping students reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs
  • Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom management
  • Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing among learners
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and follow safeguarding policies
  • Support students personal care needs where required
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (preferred)
  • A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA, SEN, or equivalent) are desirable
