The Master Electrician will oversee, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and customer specifications. This role may involve supervising electrical teams, planning projects, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and providing expertise on a wide range of electrical projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation and Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and national electrical code
Project Management
- Plan and coordinate electrical projects from start to finish
- Estimate material and labor costs for projects
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Use specialized tools and equipment to test electrical systems and identify problems
Compliance and Safety
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national electrical codes.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting
- Evaluate and implement supply chain technologies, including ERP and SCM systems
- Leverage data analytics and KPIs to drive visibility and decision-making
High School or better.
Experience PreferredValid Master Electrician license in the State of Michigan
Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a journeyman electrician
Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and hand tools
