Role OverviewThis leadership role within Optum Controllership and Finance partners across billing and segment accounting teams. You will lead the Corporate Accounts Receivable Services (CARS) team, driving strategy for accounts receivable and cash application systems to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee recording and analysis of financial transactions and statements
- Evaluate reserves and exposures; align actuals, budgets, and forecasts
- Direct AR collections and cash application teams
- Implement performance metrics and internal controls
- Advise leaders on process simplification and automation (Business Partnership)
- Lead ERP migrations and enterprise initiatives
- Represent CARS in acquisitions and cross-functional projects
- Collaborate with billing, segment teams, and IT on system strategies (Systems & Data Management)
- Drive enhancements to data structures and reporting capabilities
- Set goals for a distributed team
- Manage performance, coach, and foster engagement
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 10+ years in accounting/finance operations; 5+ years managing teams
- Expertise in AR/cash application processes and financial systems (e.g., People Soft)
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with getpaid software
- Advanced People Soft knowledge
- Process automation and legacy system integration expertise

The salary for this role will range from $156,400 to $268,000 annually based on full‑time employment.
