Credit and Collections Specialist

Viking Forest Products is a leading wood products commodities trading company within Forest City Trading Group, a $5 billion employee-owned organization. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Credit and Collections Specialist to join our collaborative accounting team.

In this role, you’ll assess customer credit, manage accounts receivable and collections, and work with customers and internal teams to resolve account issues and support timely order processing.

• Evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish credit limits, and review orders for credit risk.
• Process new customer credit applications and maintain accurate account records.
• Coordinate collections efforts with customers, service officers, and commodities traders.
• Resolve account discrepancies, outstanding balances, and credit-related questions.
• Review contracts, lien waivers, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.

• Experience in accounts receivable, credit and collections, or a related accounting function.
• Knowledge of credit analysis, credit limits, and customer account management.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction contracts or lien waivers is a plus.
