The Occupational Therapist will provide outpatient occupational therapy services in an ethical and professional manner, following state guidelines and OHW policies. In addition to core duties, the employee may be assigned other related or unrelated tasks as needed.
Essential Functions- Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with state guidelines.
- Establish and periodically reassess plans of care (POC) to achieve patient goals.
- Oversee OTA treatment based on established POC.
- Update POC as necessary for patient care.
- Develop a discharge plan once occupational therapy is completed.
- Document patient treatment daily according to accepted practice guidelines.
- Submit appropriate charges daily for services provided.
- Communicate regularly with physicians and medical staff regarding patient status or changes.
- Assist in developing and updating Odom Rehab treatment protocols as needed.
- Actively participate in Odom Rehab staff meetings.
- Track and complete continuing education credits and renewal steps for licensure.
- Maintain an active Occupational Therapy license.

Requirements- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a degree in Occupational Therapy and current MN State Occupational Therapy licensure.
- One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (preferred).
- Recent or previous work experience in a primary health care setting (preferred).
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- Computer skills required.
- Demonstrates a high level of personal and professional accountability and responsibility.
- Self‑directed and performs duties independently.
- Ability to problem‑solve and apply critical thinking skills.
- Must have the proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- For mandatory administrative drivers: valid Minnesota driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle required.
- Must maintain personal vehicle auto‑insurance coverage.
Physical Requirements
Medium work: lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time, frequent lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds. Medium work qualifies for sedentary and light work.
Driving RequirementsThis position is designated as mandatory administrative driving. OHW conducts background checks, including driving records, and requires a satisfactory record. Violation of driver safety requirements may result in discipline up to and including termination.
