Talent Manager, Employee Relations, HR Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The HR Manager is a hands-on, full-spectrum HR leader responsible for running all day-to-day HR operations while building and elevating the HR function for a growing, multi-state organization. As an HR team of one, this role manages the full employee lifecycle and partners closely with executives to professionalize HR and support a strong, high-performing culture. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of solid HR Generalist/Manager experience, strong multi-state knowledge, and preferably exposure to Private Equity-backed environments.
They are both strategic and tactical, able to assess current practices, implement scalable processes, and ensure compliance across all HR areas.

Salary Range$115,000 - $130,000 + bonus

Roles & Responsibilities HR Strategy & Function Support- Support the development and improvement of HR processes, tools, and policies.
- Provide guidance to leaders on general HR needs and organizational support.
- Manage day-to-day HR activities as the primary HR contact.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
- Assist in creating consistent hiring materials and processes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and outside resources as needed.
- Facilitate onboarding to ensure a smooth start for new employees.
- Support offboarding activities, documentation, and compliance needs.
- Maintain required employment records.
- Serve as a resource for employee questions and general HR guidance.
- Support managers with basic employee relations and performance discussions.
- Assist with culture and engagement initiatives.
- Provide support for compensation reviews and benefits administration.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate processing.
- Help maintain compliance with program requirements.
- Ensure HR policies and practices align with employment laws and company guidelines.
- Assist with policy updates, leaves of absence, and required documentation.
- Support audit and reporting needs.
- Maintain accurate employee data and HR records.
- Generate routine HR reporting as needed.
- Help evaluate and coordinate HR systems or tools.
- Several years of broad HR experience in a small or growing organization.
- Comfortable working independently or as the primary HR contact.
- General understanding of HR practices, including benefits, compensation, and employee support.
- Familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience using HR systems and working with payroll and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, discreet, and dependable.
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
