About the Role
Cambria is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide day‑to‑day human resources support to the assigned business units. Responsibilities include employee relations, employee communications, performance management, new hire orientations, employment law, benefits administration, and HR training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Partner with the assigned business units to provide guidance on employee relations issues, including performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, employee conflicts, and policy violations.
- Collaborate with hiring managers through the hiring process, establishing job descriptions, FLSA classifications, and guiding requisition approvals.
- Conduct new hire orientation, including completion of paperwork and proper follow‑up.
- Manage the off‑boarding process, conducting exit interviews and identifying trends or solutions to improve employee retention.
- Facilitate HR‑related training for assigned business units as needed.
- Assist in human resources projects, such as building training content to meet business needs, and other ad‑hoc projects.
- Advise managers on the annual performance review process and ensure proper documentation is uploaded into the HRIS system.
- Prepare reports to provide information to the assigned business units.
- Provide functional guidance, advice, training, and support to less‑experienced HR staff.
- Investigate employee issues and complaints, making recommendations to resolve issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Develop, recommend, and implement HR processes and policy changes.
- Assist with communicating policy and procedure changes to managers and employees.
- Stay up to date with employment, federal, and state law changes to mitigate risk.
- Maintain confidential employee information and documents.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering telephone calls and completing employee change paperwork.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create effective relationships throughout the organization.
- Ability to advise management in performance management decisions in accordance with laws and best practices, ensuring the decisions are in the best interests of the company and mitigate risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with executives and senior leaders.
- Ability to influence and provide input and feedback to management tactfully.
- High level of integrity and ability to keep confidential information private and secure.
- Strong sense of urgency, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to navigate and pull reports in Workday.
- Capability of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment‑related laws and regulations.
- Proactive, self‑starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently.
- Flexibility to adjust in a growing, changing environment.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business related required (or equivalent work experience); SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with manufacturing experience preferred; previous experience supporting employees throughout U.S., specifically California, and experience supporting Canadian employees preferred. - Systems:
Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and Workday experience preferred.

May travel between local Cambria locations. - Salary: $70,000 – $95,000. Pay determined by role, level, location, experience, and education.
