Position Title: Infrastructure Manager - Security focused

Employment Type: Contract to Hire - W2, No C2C or third party vendors at this time

Work Schedule: Onsite (4-5 days) in Eden Prairie, MN

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000

At the end of this contract, our customer will pay for a Security Certification for this individual.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise network and system infrastructure across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Cisco network equipment
, Microsoft 365
, Azure services
, and Windows Server administration
, and will also have a strong interest in cybersecurity and infrastructure protection.

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points (primarily Cisco).
• Manage Windows‑based servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Exchange Online, Intune, and conditional access.
• Monitor system performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot network and system issues.
• Implement and manage network and endpoint security controls in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, security patching, and system hardening initiatives.
• Develop and maintain system and network documentation, diagrams, and configurations.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and incident response processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, security frameworks, and best practices to support continuous improvement

Required

Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in network and systems administration or engineering.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switching (Cisco experience required).
• Experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar).
• Familiarity with endpoint management solutions (Intune, SCCM, or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including identity management, least privilege, and secure configurations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.
