About the role

Quantum Graphics is hiring a Large Format Operator to prepare client files and run our large format printing and cutting equipment. You'll take jobs from prepress through RIP and output, making sure every piece meets our quality standards and ships on deadline.

What you'll do

• Prepare client art for large format print production.
• Typeset files and handle layout and design work per client direction.
• RIP files to printers using Asanti and ONYX RIP software.
• Operate large format printers and cutters and check output against job specs.
• Handle confidential customer files and printed materials with care.
• Follow safe handling procedures for inks, solvents and other chemicals.

What you'll need

• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
• Close attention to detail and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload, work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to have: 1–2 years of large format prepress experience; experience with Enfocus Pit Stop Pro, Asanti or ONYX;
Mac prepress experience.

Pay and benefits

Starting pay is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skills, with overtime at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek.

Working conditions

• Mix of sitting (about 50%), standing (about 25%) and walking (about 25%).
• Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
• Daily work with industrial solvents and inks in a production setting; training and protective equipment provided.
• Occasional 10-hour shifts and weekend work.
