JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe full time Marketing Manager at Eden Prairie Center represents the property implementing and coordinating all marketing and communication initiatives. This position works within an annual marketing plan including, but not limited to, collateral and content development, web initiatives, social media, advertising, public relations, promotions and special events for the property. The Marketing Manager is the tenant liaison responsible for managing communication with retailers as it relates to marketing at the property.
The Marketing Manager has budgetary accountability and is responsible for managing departmental expenses. This position is expected to be available to work all marketing events including some weekends and be available to work overtime as required.
Eden Prairie Center is a 1.4 million square-foot, two-level retail property managed by JLL. The shopping center is located in the southwest Twin Cities suburb of Eden Prairie, Minnesota at 8251 Flying Cloud Drive. With over 100 shops and restaurants, the center is anchored by Scheels, Von Maur, Target, and Kohl's. Well known for its entertainment wing, the center features an 18-screen AMC Theatre, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Wildfire Steaks, Chops & Seafood, Crave, Gyu-Mai Japanese BBQ, Ichiddo Ramen, an impressive food court with nine quick-serve restaurants and a towering 3-story stone fireplace.
Its mix of popular retailers includes DSW, Old Navy, LOFT, Chico's, Talbots, Buckle, American Eagle, Eddie Bauer and Bath & Body Works.
- Development of the annual marketing plan for the property based upon the center’s strategic goals.
- Creation of marketing budget to support the marketing plan; ongoing monitoring of the marketing budget; monthly reforecasting and adjustment as needed to meet yearend projections.
- Other responsibilities include analysis of sales and statistical data, digital marketing management, administration of the property’s website, as well as traditional and social media and ongoing event planning and public relations.
- Develop and effectively execute sales promotions, special events and internal and external communication strategies to drive tenant sales. Include retailers as appropriate.
- Establish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through retailer communications/sales promotions/visual merchandising, especially with tenants identified as “key retailers.”
- Work with Regional Marketing Manager to identify and implement all appropriate corporate programs.
- Effectively manage the center’s digital media programs (social media, mobile, web) as applicable.
- Effectively utilize market and consumer research to develop the center’s marketing plan and support the leasing efforts.
- Partner with the Leasing team to support the leasing efforts by compiling relevant information and creating professional, compelling sales materials.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the trade area including all competitive properties, market and customer demographics and available media.
- Partner with Specialty Leasing to develop and implement local and corporate ancillary income opportunities to generate additional revenue for the property.
